Hello readers. I am another single black mother in our society today trying to make somthing of herself and this is my story. The end of my senior year in high school i got pregnant so immediately i just knew that i wouldnt be able to attend college or make anything of myself because now i have another person to take care of and i cant even care for myself yet. Well shortly after i graduated i had to move out of my fathers house and was homeless for a year. Bouncing back n forth between friends homes. Applied for jobs n didnt get them. Five months after having my beautiful baby girl i was blessed with a job and have been holding that job for the past year. I just recently got approved for low income housing and was fortunate enough to move into my own apartment. The job that i am at now is just barely making ends meet now a days. SO i decided the best thing to do now is go to college since the only way i can go from where i am is up. My daughter gives me the motivation everyday to stay strong and to do better and be a better person today than i was yesterday. But i am having trouble finding the funds for school at the time.
